Hi guys =]!
Sorry about not updating this tumblr for so long. I’ve gotten quite busy over the past few weeks with school, going to Macau, exploring more of the city- you know, the usual HK life.

HKU - the nicer parts.
HKU has beautiful buildings. Unlike most American colleges, these beautiful buildings are for housing the Arts and Humanites. =] The science and engineer buildings here are quite run down and weird looking. I found this observation quite amusing.

I shall first show you fruits that I believe are uncommon in the States.
This here beaut is called a bategreen fresh or 青棗. It is like a very tasteless, compact, hard apple with a seed for a core. It’s not too bad, the crispness of the fruit is quite refreshing.

HK: day 3 ( day 1 with internet)
so i arrived in HK on January 3rd at 7:25pm. mom’s friend picked me up and got me to her place in kowloon, the old part of hong kong. here is a picture of the view outside her window.
here are the streets of kowloon. the buildings are crazy old and remind me of Wall-E.
we then went to this indoor farmers market with dangling meat carcasses on the first floor and veggies on the second....
